Indeterminate. Frost resistant!!
Amy’s Sugar Gem had us marveling in the later part of the season as it was noticeably not affected by the seasons first frosts! After the first three frosts of the year finished the other tomatoes in the garden, Amy’s Sugar Gem continued on strong with near perfect undamaged fruit and leaves.
This gem of a tomato plant grows to about 6 feet. The quality of the fruit was top-notch; slightly bigger than a golf ball, dense and full of flavour. The taste was sweet and well-balanced. Great for snacking or a salad. The small core and thick flesh also make for great sauces and salsas.
