Red Beard Negi Onions are a Japanese heirloom. Negi, the Japanese word for Bunching Onions, are a highly versatile onion that can be harvested at many stages of growth. They don’t form bulbs, but rather grow in clumps with tasty greens that are mild in flavour. Fresh greens are excellent raw, adding brightness to many dishes. The base of Red Beard Onions will have a deeper reddish coloured when grown in cooler weather.
