Brewer’s Gold is a UK hop variety that was selected by Ernest Stanley Salmon at Wye College in England in 1919. It resulted from the open pollination of a wild hop sourced from Morden, Manitoba.
Although its initial popularity waned due to the emergence of super-alpha hop varieties in the 1980s, Brewer’s Gold remains a good choice for late bittering in experimental brewing. It offers desirable notes of spice and blackcurrant.
Comes in 2 gallon pot.
